| + | John H. Frantz, the oldest son of Henry P. and Anna (Schroeder) Frantz, was born on Nov. 23, 1879. He passed away on Aug. 6, 1966 at the age of 86 years, eight months and 14 days. |

His early life was typical of the struggles of pioneer families. He engaged in farming and in farming interests up to the time of his passing. |

JOHN H. FRANTZ
John H. Frantz, the oldest son of Henry P. and Anna (Schroeder) Frantz, was born on Nov. 23, 1879. He passed away on Aug. 6, 1966 at the age of 86 years, eight months and 14 days.
When he was 14 years old, his father took part in the "run" for homesteads in Oklahoma. Soon after that, the family moved to a place northwest of Orienta. His early life was typical of the struggles of pioneer families. He engaged in farming and in farming interests up to the time of his passing.
He was baptized on July 17, 1904 and later joined the Saron Mennonite Church. He was married on Sept. 2, 1909 to Elizabeth Lohrenz. To this marriage a son, Waldo Orlando, was born. Elizabeth passed away on Feb. 18, 1911. Their son, Waldo, died in infancy on May 9, 1911.
