MRS. ANNA FRANTZ

Mrs. Anna Frantz, our beloved mother, was born near Pawnee Rock, Kansas on Dec. 15, 1882, to Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Unruh. After several years' residence in the Pawnee Rock area the family moved to Durham, Kan. where they settled on a farm.

On March 31, 1905, Anna Unruh and Benjamin H. Frantz were united in marriage. To this union were born 11 children. Three children preceded her in death. Twins, Martha and Elizabeth were born in 1918 and died during the influenza epidemic in the year 1919. An infant daughter, Helen, was born in January 1923 and passed away the following March.

Throughout many years of her life her interest and devotion to her church remained steadfast. On Oct. 24, 1948, at the New Jerusalem Church at Montezuma she was baptized and confirmed into the membership of the New Jerusalem Church.

Mother loved her home and family very much and was very grateful to be able to stay in her own home until she was called to her eternal Home.

In May 1954 she suffered a heart seizure and from that time on was hospitalized on a number of occasions. On Sept. 7, 1957, she passed quietly from this earthly scene to her heavenly home at the age of 74 years, eight months and 23 days. Her life is a blessed memory to her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Alice of the home, Anna, Mrs. Fred Biesel of Tampa, and Elsie, Mrs. Ben Ratzlaff of Durham; five sons, Cornelius of Durham, Albert of Tampa, Ben of Durham, John of Tampa, and Irvin of the home; two sons-in-law, four daughters-in-law; five brothers, Isaac, Joe and Elmer of Montezuma, Ed of Indian River, Mich. Herman of Friendwood [sic Friendswood], Texas; one sister, Mrs. Dora Knoll of Atwater, Calif.; 24 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

We miss mother, but we are glad she could answer the call of her God to come and to be with Him. Now she lives anew in the realms beyond. — The Children.
