Death Claims Woman Knocked Unconscious In 1969 Accident
Ephrata, Pa. — Miss Mary Ann Fox, 60, of rural Ephrata died in a nursing home recently, 19 months after she was knocked unconscious in a traffic accident.
In July 1969 she was a passenger in a car driven by Jacob Z. Burkholder, by whom she was employed as housekeeper, when the car collided with a parked truck. She was cared for in the intensive care ward of the Ephrata hospital for several months, and was then transferred to the nursing home where she remained in a coma until her death. Burkholder was injured in the crash but recovered.
Funeral services for Miss Fox were held at the Groffdale Mennonite Church.
