Edward Flaming

Edward Flaming was born in McPherson County Kansas, six miles east of Inman, on September 2, 1900, and died at the home of his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Peter Flaming, in Buhler, Kansas, on August 23, 1926, at the age of 25 years, 11 months and 21 days.

He was brought up in the Christian home of his parents. After graduation from the district school he finished the course of the Hoffnungsau Preparatory school. It had always been his intention to finish Bethel College but he could only complete the academy course and two years of college work.

On June 8, 1919, he was converted and was baptized by Elder Abraham Ratzlaff and received as member in the Hoffnungsau Church, of which he has been a faithful member up to the time of his seemingly too early departure.

He has always been obedient and honorable to his parents, was a good brother and a loved friend to his many friends.

He leaves to mourn his early and sudden departure his parents, two half brothers, P. P. Flaming of Reedley, Calif., H. H. Flaming of Buhler, Kansas, two half sisters, Mrs. J. J. Ediger of Newton, Mrs. C. L. Janzen of Buhler, two brothers, J. P. Flaming of Inman, J. A. Flaming and two sisters, Martha and Mary.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afgternoon at the Hoffnungsau church. — Buhler Review.
