LENA F. FAST

Mrs. Lena F. Fast, 64, resident of Dallas, Ore. for 14 years, died at her home Tuesday after an illness of one and one-half years with cancer.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Arno Wiebe, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the Dallas cemetery.

She was born August 14, 1889, at Jansen, Neb., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob F. Thiessen. On May 18, 1918, she was married to Peter K. Fast at Paxton, Neb. Mrs. Fast came to Dallas in 1940 and became a member of the E.M.B. church at that time.

She is survived by her husband, Peter K. Fast, Dallas; five daughters, Mrs. Katherine Adrian, Goshen, Ind., Anna Fast, Nigeria, West Africa, Mrs. Lena Gookin, Venezuela, S. A. Bertha Fast at home, and Marie Warkentine, Dallas; three sons, Daniel Fast, Salem, Peter Fast, Portland, and Abraham Fast, Salem; a sister, Mrs. J. R. Friesen, Premont, Texas; three brothers, David F. Thiessen, Seibert, Colo., Jacob T. Thiessen, Dallas, and John T. Thiessen, McCool, Neb.; and seven grandchildren. One son, Jacob Fast, preceded her in death.
