Pacific Dist. Worker Dies Unexpectedly

Portland, Ore. — George A. Fast, 69, of Jennings Lodge, well-known lay worker of the Pacific District Conference, died there recently after a brief illness.

For a number of years Mr. Fast had served as editor and publisher of "The Messenger," monthly publication of the district conference. He had almost completed work on the June issue at the time of his death, and the family finished the issue and mailed it. He had a small printing plant at his home. In earlier years he lived in Chicago and did printing work for the E. M. B. Publishing Co.

His first marriage was to Annie Frey of Dallas, Ore. They had two children by adoption. After her death, he was married to Mrs. Elizabeth Frey of Fresno, Calif.
