• Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Fast, 89, were held Saturday forenoon at the First Mennonite Church, with Dr. Albert Epp officiating. Mrs. Fast died April 18 at the Bethel Home for Aged. She was a former resident of the Walton community, moving to Newton in 1958. Her second husband, David D. Fast, died in 1957. She leaves five daughters, Mrs. J. W. Riffel of Newport, Wash., Mrs. Ben Wedel and Mrs. Cornie Koehn, both of Newton, Mrs. Ike Schmidt of Hillsboro, and Mrs. Harold Dirks of Delano, Calif.; four sons, Henry Dyck of Entiat, Wash., Ernest Dyck of Portland, Ore., Alvin B. Dyck of Colorado Springs, and Kurt C. Dyck of Denver; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Henry Huxman of Newton; 29 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
