— Friends and acquaintances of Mr. and Mrs. Carolina Clifford Fast of Route 1, Valley Center, will be deeply grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Fast and their infant son, Marlin Leslie, at the Bethel Deaconess hospital last Tuesday. The child was born dead at 2:34 p. m. and the mother passed away at 10:15 p.m. Mrs. Fast, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch D. Koehn of Butler county, was 33 years of age. Besides her grief-stricken husband she is survived by two daughters, Wilda Elaine and Dona Irene. Also three brothers and eight sisters survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock next Sunday afternoon at the Grace Mennonite church west of Halstead, conducted by Min. Carl J. Dirks. Friends who wish to see the mother and child may do so Friday evening at Moody’s Chapel, 2213 main street.
