ANNA FREY FAST

Anna Frey Fast, daughter of Jacob J. and Sarah (Heinrichs) Frey, was born July 10, 1903, at Goessel, Kan. She passed away suddenly of a heart attack on March 23, 1964, at the age of 60 years, eight months, and 13 days.

At an early age she moved with her family to Aberdeen, Idaho, where she received her schooling. She was baptized upon confession of her faith in the Lord by Rev. Leonard Dirks, in the country church of Aberdeen.

When she was 15 years of age her family moved to Dallas, Oregon, where she affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church. Later she joined the Grace Mennonite Church of Dallas, Ore. At the time of her death she was a faithful and active member of the Calvary Mennonite Church of Barlow, Oregon.

On July 18, 1926 she was united in marriage to George A. Fast of Mt. Lake, Minn., at Dallas, Oregon. The Lord blessed this union with two children. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Myrtle Euna, and one grandson, Randy LaVern Derksen.

She participated in the choir, Sunday school, ladies aid and other church activities. She also was active in the Oregon Women's Christian Temperance Union, and served as president of the Clackamus County WCTU for a number of years. She also prayed faithfully for her family and the unsaved. One of her hobbies was raising flowers.

She leaves to mourn her passing her bereaved husband; one son, Richard Lee and wife Theda of Clackamus, Or.; one son-in-law, Leonard Derksen of Dallas, Or.; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Hulda) Barber, of Salem, Ore.; two brothers, John R. Frey and Arnold G. Frey, both of Dallas, Ore., and a host of relatives, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held March 28, 1964, at 1:30 p.m. in the Calvary Mennonite Church of Barlow, with Rev. Harry Howard, Rev. Robert Rayburn, Rev. John M. Franz, and Rev. L. D. Fast officiating. Interment was made in the Dallas Cemetery . — The Family.
