HENRY HENRY FALK

Henry Henry Falk, late of 32317 Huntingdon Rd., Abbotsford, B.C., second-born child and oldest son of Henry B. and Aganeta Falk, was born in Steinfeld, Russia on May 22, 1908.

At the age of 18 he moved with his family to Boissevain, Manitoba. He accepted the Lord at an early age, but in 1928 he rededicated his life to the Lord under the influence of David Quiring. In 1930 he was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church in Griswold, Man.

In 1934 the family moved to Abbotsford, B.C. Here he married Margaretha Stobbe on August 11, 1935. He purchased some land and slowly built up his farm where their eight children were born. For several years he was crippled with rheumatic fever and arthritis but the Lord answered prayers and he was completely restored.

In 1964 he gifted to each of his remaining seven children a portion of money with which they could buy into a family farm operation named H. H. Falk & Sons Ltd., of which he was president.

In 1971 he had a new valve placed into his very weak heart. The Lord once again answered prayers and he recovered from surgery, providing for him a new lease on life. Then in July. 1974. his health failed again. and he went to be with the Lord on November 10.

During his lifetime. perhaps his greatest aim was the spiritual welfare of his children and grandchildren. with the hope (which he expressed in a letter written to the family) that he would see them all in heaven.

Henry Falk leaves behind to celebrate his victory and continue the Lord's race, his wife, Margaretha; five sons, Abe and Jessie of Abbotsford, John and Hilda of Dawson Creek, B.C., Peter and Sandra, Ben and Pat, and George, all of Abbotsford; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Erna) Janzen and Mrs. Stan (Marge) Thiessen; four brothers, Ben, Jake, Dave and George, all of Abbotsford; one sister, Mrs. P. (Annie) Schroeder, and 17 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, ten brothers and sisters, and one daughter, Elsie.
