Agnes Falk

Agnes Falk of Steinbach, Man. passed away Mar. 31. She was born Jan. 11, 1931 to Peter and Judith Schmidt of Sperling, Man. She was baptized in Lowe Farm (Man.) Bergthaler Mennonite Church in 1949 and later became a member of Steinbach MB Church. She married Henry Falk in 1954. They first lived in Winnipeg. In 1958 they bought a dairy farm near Steinbach. They farmed until ill health forced them to move to Steinbach. Cancer was first diagnosed in 1973. In 1989 a tumor was discovered in her brain. A loving mother and wife, she is remembered for her uncomplaining spirit and h er willingness to give. Predeceased by 2 sisters, she is mourned by her husband; children Sharon Martel of Altona, Man., Bert of Vancouver, Gordon of Edmonton and Barbara of Winnipeg; and 2 grandchildren. The funeral was Apr. 5 in Steinbach MB Church, with Bill Lehman ministering.
