JONATHAN WADE EWERT

Jonathan Wade Ewert, infant son of Bert and Leona Ewert of Clearbrook, B .C., passed away on January 12. Jonathan was born on December 10, 1978 in Abbotsford, B .C., but because of a congenital heart defect he was transferred immediately to the Vancouver General Hospital , There he underwent two long heart surgeries, the first when he was two days old, and the other three weeks later. He is survived by his parents and one brother, Matthew Bryan; by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George Ewert of Steinbach, Man., and Rev. and Mrs. David Nickel of Vancouver; three great-grandmothers; and a number of living uncles, aunts and cousins. The funeral service was held January 17 in the South Abbotsford Mennonite Brethren Church, with pastor Don Balzer officiating.
