JOHN HENRY ESAU

John Henry Enns of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away on October 15. He was born on September 8, 1898 to Heinrich and Margaret (Isaak) Enns in Dolinsk, Neu Samara, Russia; served in the medical corps during the war; married Anna Loewen of Dolinsk on August 4, 1921; both accepted the Lord in 1922, were baptized in the River Tok, and joined the Donskoi MB Church; two sons were born to them but died in a typhoid and diphtheria epidemic; left Russia in fall 1925, arriving in Dalmeny, Sask. in October; moved to Beechy, Sask. after a year and lived there 18 years; moved to Clearbrook in February 1944; became members of the Clearbrook MB Church; his wife died on August 24, 1956; married Anna Doerksen on December 28, 1959. He is survived by his wife Anna; ten children: John of Abbotsford, Ernest of Richmond, Peter of Abbotsford, Henry of Surrey, Kay (Mrs. George) Goertzen, Vancouver, Margaret (Mrs. Peter) Barg, Summerland, Esther (Mrs. Aldon) Wiens, Donna (Mrs. David) Epp, both Richmond, Susan (Mrs. John) Suderman and Ruth (Mrs. Walter) Thielmann, both Prince George (all B.C.); stepchildren: Len Doerksen, Betty (Mrs. John) Kampen, both Clear brook, Esther (Mrs. Ben) Loewen, Houston, B.C., Ruth (Mrs. Peter) Klassen of Tsawwassen, B.C. and Daniel Doerksen of St. Catharines, Ont.; 50 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The funeral was held on October 20 in the Clearbrook MB Church with pastor John Baerg and H. Lenzmann in charge.
