Bishop in Western Ontario Conf. Dies
Wellesley, Ont. — Bishop Christian O. Erb, 70, an active bishop at the Maple Glen Mennonite Church, died recently at the Stratford General Hospital.
He was ordained deacon of the congregation in 1952, as minister in 1960, and as bishop in the Western Ontario Mennonite Conference on Aug. 27, 1967.
Besides his church work, he farmed in Wellesley Township until retiring to the village of Wellesley in 1963. He leaves his widow, four brothers and one sister.
