Beatrice, Neb. Pioneer Called At Age 91

Beatrice, Neb. — Henry P. Epp, who was among the pioneer Mennonite settlers in this east central Nebraska community, died at a local hospital on July 25 at the age of 91.

Born in West Prussia on March 19, 1871, he came to Beatrice in 1882 and had lived here ever since. He was the oldest member of the Beatrice Mennonite Church, where the funeral services were conducted on July 28 by Rev. Norman D. Bergen.

Surviving are his widow, Anna W.; five sons, Walter F. and Fred of Beatrice, Herman J. F. of Valentine, Neb., and Abram and Henry of Lincoln, Neb.; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Peterson of Lexington, Neb.; one brother, Cornelius Epp of Beatrice; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
