SARAH DAHLKE EPP

Sarah Dahlke Epp, daughter of Cornelius and Anna Hiebner, was born August 10, 1888, in Hamilton County, Nebr.

On July 3, 1905, she was baptized upon her confession of faith by Rev. C. M. Wall and received into the K.M.B. church; later she transferred her membership to the Bethesda church, of which she remained a faithful member until her death.

On Sept. 3, 1908, she was married to Jacob F. Epp, to which union were born seven children. Father preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1922. This left to her the great responsibility of providing for and rearing a family of young children in the fear of the Lord. Two daughters, Frieda and Selma, preceded her in death, each at the age of six months.

On April 22, 1952, she suffered a stroke and was called to her heavenly Home at midnight, April, 23, 1952. She leaves to mourn her passing the children: Nellie, Mrs. Peter D. Heide of Mt. Lake, Minn.; Hilda, Mrs. Henry H. Buller of Henderson, Nebr.; Anna, Mrs. R. Dale Cunningham of Amboy, Minn.; Arnold A. Epp of Meno, Okla.; Elsie, Mrs. Stanley Voth, of Freeman, S. Dakota; four sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law; and 15 grandchildren. One grandchild, Richard Dale Cunningham, Jr., preceded her in death. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. K. D. Friesen of Tampa, Kansas; Mrs. N. C. Wiens of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Mrs. A. H. Smith of Salem, Oregon, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mother will always be remembered by her family for her sincere prayers and great concern for their spiritual and physical wellbeing.
