ANNA EPP
Anna Epp was born to Jacob and Katherine Eckert in Muntau, South Russia on June 18, 1893. She accepted Christ as her personal Saviour in her youth, and was baptized and accepted into the fellowship of the Mennonite Brethren Church at Steinbach, South Russia, on September 2, 1912. She loved her Lord and tried to serve him to the best of h ability.
She married Heinrich Epp September 20, 1920. In 1937, he was forced to leave the family, and was never reunited with them. The second World War caused further separations. In October 1947 she, with four of her children, was privileged to established a new home in the Leamington area in Ontario. Her husband and three other children remained in Russia, though not together.
Her parents, two brothers, two sisters, her husband, one son and one son-in-law predeceased her. On March 4 she went to be with her Lord and Saviour, in whom she had placed her trust.
Her passing has left a vacancy in the lives of six children and five in-laws: Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Reimer of Wheatley, Ont., Jacob and Maria Epp in Russia, Maria and Alex Rollhaeuser in Russia, Anna and Walter Janzen of Beamsville, Ont., Peter and Marie Epp of Leamington, Ont., Margaret and George Thiessen of Wheatley, Ont.; 26 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a large circle of relatives and many friends.
