text of obituary:

ABRAHAM E. EPP

Abraham E. Epp, son of the late Peter P. and Katharina Wall Epp, was born at Henderson, Neb. Jan 17, 1902.

Under the nurturing of godly parents and the influence of the E.M.B. church, he realized the need of a Saviour and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation at an early age.

He grew to manhood in the Henderson community, and was married to Sarah Rempel on Oct. 2, 1930. They shared joys and sorrows for 29 years, until his death on March 2, 1960. Their union was blessed with four children, three sons and one daughter.

He served the local church in various capacities. His one desire was to glorify the Lord. The influence of his patience and uncomplaining ways shall remain with us forever.

Because of his physical condition his life was not a life of ease, giving reality to Romans 8:18, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Surviving him are his wife Sarah; four children, Harold and wife Shirley of Henderson, Marvin and wife Doris, Lillian and husband Robert Frey, and James, all of Omaha; and two grandchildren, Gary and Janell.
