— Funeral services for Herman Entz, 88, one of the early pioneers of the Whitewater community, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Emmaus Mennonite church, Rev. H. J. Dyck officiating. Mr. Entz died Sunday, Feb. 27, at the farm home where he had lived for 67 years. he was born at Marienburg, Germany and came to Kansas in 1884. He was the oldest member of the Emmaus church. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Justine Wiens, Mrs. Margaret Harder and Mrs. Jane Claassen, all of Whitewater, Miss Helena Entz of Newton, Miss Louise Entz of Akron, Pa., and Mrs. Anna Lapenas of Clayton, Ohio; one son, Herman, H. of Whitewater, seven grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. C. F. Claassen of Newton; a half-sister, Mrs. G. A. Entz of Newton; and four half-brothers, Jacob and Henry Toevs of Newton, W. W. Toevs of Wichita and Rudolph Toevs of Nevada, Mo.
