Well-Known Elder Dies in Winnipeg
Winnipeg, Man. — Largely attended funeral services for Rev. Johann Hermann Enns, 85, were held at the First Mennonite church here on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 4, with Rev. Jacob Wiebe, Rev. Nik. Unruh and Rev. Joh. Neufeld officiating. He died of cancer at Misericordia Hospital here on Sunday, Sept. 1.
A native of Russia, he was ordained there to the ministry in 1924. The next year he with his wife and two sons migrated to Manitoba. The first seven years were spent on a farm near Elizabeth.
