MRS. MARGRETH ENNS

The daughter of Johann and Helen (nee Wall) Klippenstein, (Mrs.) Margreth Enns was born on April 19, 1888 in Alexanderwohl, south Russia. In 1905 she accepted the Lord as her Saviour, was baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church. On February 14, 1908 she married Heinrich Abraham Enns, and soon after the wedding they moved to Siberia. The Lord blessed them with 11 children, six sons and five daughters. One son, one son-in-law and one daughter predeceased her.

The Enns left Russia in 1926, eventually settling in Yarrow, B.C. Mrs. Enns had trained as a midwife, a vocation she served untiringly in Russia and later in Canada. The Enns faithfully served the Yarrow Church as deacons until they resigned because of age. Because they needed more medical care, they moved to the Menno Home in Clearbrook in 1972. Mrs. Enns' health declined and on February 5, 11 months after her husband had passed away, she also entered into the presence of the Lord.

She leaves to mourn her children, John, Jake, Sara (Mrs. Jake) Martens, Helen (Mrs. Pete) Neufeldt, and Margaret (Mrs. Henry) Neufeldt, all of Clearbrook; Henry of Kelowna, B.C.; Pete of California; George of Chilliwack, B.C.; and Annie (Mrs. Jake) Loewen; one sister, (Mrs.) Tina Wittenberg of Vancouver; two sisters-in-law, (Mrs.) Helen Isaak and (Mrs.) Tina Klippenstein of California; 36 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and many friends and relatives.
