text of obituary:
MRS. LENA ENNS
Lena Enns, daughter of Henry and Aganetha (nee Thiessen) Dyck, was born on April 8, 1888, in Pappelheim, South Russia, the seventh of 15 children. She is survived by three sisters, two in Russia and Agnes Dyck of Cambridge, Ontario.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour in her youth. She was baptized by Rev. Abraham Peters and accepted into the fellowship of the Muntau-Halbstadt Mennonite Brethren Church.
In 1911 she was married to Gerhard J. Enns. On May 20 of this year they celebrated their 64th anniversary at a small party in Tabor Manor, St. Catharines. In 1961, at the golden anniversary, all the children and grandchildren were present
In 1924 they immigrated to Canada and lived in Kitchener, Ont. and vicinity until 1969. In May, 1969, they moved to Tabor Manor in St. Catharines.
Mrs. Enns loved her Bible, shown by a well-worn book. In her home she was an example of hospitality and faithfulness. She was very active in the "Tabeaverein" (Dorcas Sewing Circle) of the Kitchener MB Church.
On July 13, at the age of 87, she peacefully passed away into the presence of her Lord. For the last several years she needed complete care, which the staff at Tabor Manor gave lovingly and compassionately.
She is survived by her husband, Gerhard J. Enns; one son Henry and wife Tilly, Kitchener; one daughter Olga, Waterloo; one daughter-in-law Hedi, Ottawa; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Jake and George.
