AMISH WOMAN DIES FROM INJURIES

Berne, Ind.—Mrs. Ernest V. Eicher, 39, of rural Geneva, died at Lutheran Hospital at Fort Wayne on Sept. 18 from head injuries suffered in an accident on Sept 12.

Mrs. Eicher and her husband were riding in a buggy on a gravel road near their home when the shaft of the buggy broke and the horse started kicking. She was thrown out, landing head first on the gravel. Her head also struck a buggy wheel or was kicked by the horse.

The couple’s 10th child, a girl, was born prematurely during her hospitalization. Mr. Eicher, who also was thrown off the buggy, was unhurt.
