— A speeding automobile crashed into the side of a Santa Fe passenger train at a crossing five miles southwest of Newton last Saturday afternoon, killing all five occupants of the car, including Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edmiston and sons, Keith and Charles, of Benton, Kan. The fifth victim was Wesley Hendricks, 16, of Cunningham. It was reported that the car skidded 231 feet before striking the speeding train with terrific force. Funeral services for the Edmiston family were held Tuesday morning at the Towanda Methodist church.
