He died in 1973, but she continued living on their farm until her health failed - a brain tumor. She had accepted the Lord earlier in life, served Him and was ready to meet Him on Oct. 19, after her third brain surgery. She had been in a Denver, Colo., hospital for two and one-half months.

She leaves two sons, Ed E. of Longmont, Colo. and Walter P. and wife Sue of Liberal, Kan.; two sisters, Elizabeth and Annie Fransen of Liberal: a brother, Nick Fransen of Meade, Kan.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services were held in the Turpin Mennonite Church, where she was a member, on Oct 22, 1980. Bob Dalke and David Braun officiated.
