MRS. LOUISE EDIGER

Louise Frances Ediger of Wasco, Calif. was born on Sept. 5, 1910 to David W. and Margaret (Peters) Gloeckler in Borden, Sask. She died Nov. 26, 1973 as a result of an automobile accident.

She accepted Christ as her savior at the age of 10 and was baptized and accepted into the fellowship of the Shafter M. B. Church in 1926. She received her formal education at UCLA, Tabor College, and UC at Berkeley from which she graduated.

In 1934 she married Abe S. Ediger of Buhler, Kan. They shared 39 years, living the first year at Mission, Texas, then at Shafter, Calif., and in 1941 moving to a farm at Wasco.

Active in community and church, her fulfillment lay in meeting the needs of others. She was a source of encouragement to many, especially to students as she followed their progress. She was a strong supporter of her church and a tireless worker in it. She loved to sing and participated in many areas of church music.

Sunday school became a special area of service. Here she eagerly challenged young minds to trust the Lord and move toward the goal of Christian maturity. Her continuing interest in young people is reflected by her support of Christian higher education particularly Tabor College, her Alma Mater. She was vitally interested in the needs of missionaries, particularly after her visit to many of them in South American.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Jeanette, Mrs. Bruce Flaming of Dallas, Ore., and Evelyn, Mrs. Robert Heinrichs of San Jose, Calif.; two sons, Dan and James of Wasco; six grandchildren; six sisters and her mother. Her father and a son preceded her in death.
