text of obituary:

JOHN A. EDIGER

John A. Ediger, our beloved father, was born to John and Henrietta (Pauls) Ediger on June 7, 1885. He was taken to his eternal rest on Jan. 27, 1966, having reached the age of 80 years.

He was born and grew up in the Inman-Buhler, Kan. community. As a young man in his twenties he accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour, and on April 28, 1907, he was baptized on the confession of faith and received into the membership of the Hebron Mennonite Church. In June of 1911 he transferred his membership to the Mennonite Brethren Church of Buhler, so that he and mother could worship with the same congregation.

On June 7, 1911, father was joined in marriage to Sarah Adrian of Buhler, Kan. This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Nettie Marna and Evelyn.

Our parents enjoyed a pleasant home relationship and the development of a close relationship was exemplary to us as children, but also made parting after mother's death.

He was hospitalized Jan. 28 from a heart attack, which resulted in his death.

Father was preceded in death by his wife Sarah, who passed away on June 26, 1965; one daughter, Nettie Marna, the late Mrs. Art Neufeld; one grandson, Bruce Neufeld; one brother and two sisters. Those who survive are his daughter Evelyn and husband, Victor Dirks; one brother, George Ediger of Buhler; two sisters, Mrs. G. F. Reimer, Buhler, and Mrs. A. A. Martins, Hutchinson, Kan.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. — The Family.
