text of obituary:

FRANK A. ECK

Frank A. Eck, son of Adam and Eva Eck, was born May 8, 1888 at Moundridge, Kansas. The family moved to Oklahoma in his early childhood. He departed this life April 21, 1947, at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 17 days.

He leaves to mourn him his wife Susie; five sons, Ormand of Harper, Kans., Marvin (missionary to Africa), Levi, Frank, Aldon and Mahlon at home; five daughters, Alma at home, Ada (Mrs. Lee Schmidt) of Goltry, Irma (Mrs. Herman Schmidt) of Fort Cobb, Okla. Naomi (Mrs John Epp) McDonald, Kans. and Eunice at home; and ten grandchildren, one of whom preceded him in death. Also surviving are four brothers, Henry, Dan, and Joe of Meno, Okla., and Eben of Ringwood, Okla., and three sisters, Mary (Mrs. D. J. Unruh) Newton, Kans., Lena (Mrs. Jacob Koehn), Meno, Okla., and Eva (Mrs. J. C. Unruh) Linwood, Calif. His parents and four brothers and three sister [sic] preceded him in death.

He was baptized by Rev. John Ratzlaff in March 1909 and joined the New Hopedale Mennonite church at Meno, where he remained a member until Jan. 1947, when he changed his membership to the Zoar Mennonite church at Goltry. He was a faithful and sincere worker both in church and Sunday School. He was united in marriage June 8, 1909, to Susie Johnson of Meno, and they had made their home near Meno since.

He enjoyed good health until June, 1941, when he suffered a stroke. Since then he had been in failing health, but seriously ill only since April 8 and bedfast since April 15.

His vacancy is felt deeply by the family and relatives, but he has gone to fill his place in Heaven.
