FOUR YEAR OLD GIRL CRUSHED IN FARM IMPLEMENT, DIES

Lancaster, Pa. — Funeral services were held at the Groffdale Mennonite church April 1 for little Rose Ann Eberly, 4, who suffered fatal injuries in a farm accident on March 24. She died at Lancaster General hospital without regaining consciousness.

Rose Ann, daughter of Norman N. Eberlys, R1, New Holland, was with her brother Leon, 11, as he operated the tractor. The machine had been stopped, with the drive shaft operating, when she jumped down and then tried to climb up the attached manure spreader. Her clothing caught in the drive shaft.
