HIS BROTHER KILLED BY RUSSIAN BANDITS

Frank Dyck, resident of Moundridge, received news, Monday, that his brother, Peter Dyck of Hierschau, Southern Russia, had been killed by bandits.

Peter Dyck and his family, and Mrs. Dyck, mother of Peter, and Frank and A. F. Dyck, of Moundridge, and a sister were coming to America to make their home here. On August 24, the Dycks had a sale, selling all their household goods and other property, and on the night of August 25 about 1 a.m., Peter was murdered with the intention of obtaining his money from the sale. An attempt was also made on the lives of his son and daughter who were endeavoring to protect him from death.

The money was not obtained, and the remaining 12 will make the trip a little later. Passports had already been obtained for the 13 who would have probably been here by this time had not the tragedy occurred. — Kansan.
