Harrisonburg, Va.— A 44-year-old fanner of the Hinton community was instantly killed by a bolt of lightning while working in a field the afternoon of Aug. 30.
Roy S. Driver was sowing grain when a hired hand working in the same field noticed his tractor was moving erratically. He found Mr. Driver slumped over the steering wheel.
Surviving in the immediate family are his widow, the former Ann Kornhaus, a daughter, Jill, and two sons, Gordon and Woodrow, all of the home. A memorial service was held at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church of which Mr. Driver was a member.
