Clara Friesen was born in McPherson County, Kan. on Aug. 1, 1896. In 1917 she became a member of the First Mennonite Church. She was married to John S. Doerksen on Jan. 3, 1922, after which she moved to Denair, Calif. where she became a member of the Denair Missionary Church.

She leaves her husband, John S. Doerksen, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Leona Nelson, Mrs. Dorothy Nelson, Mrs Doris Olson and Wilbur Doerksen, all of Denair, Calif., and Robert Doerksen of Santa Cruz, Calif.

She leaves five sisters and three brothers: Emma Doerksen of Denair, Calif., Esther Buetler of Arcadia, Calif., Nell Clark of Pueblo, Colo., Liz and Helen Heidebrecht of Inman, Kan., Jake Friesen of Pineville, La., and John and Carl Friesen of Russell, Kan. She leaves 11 grandchildren besides many friends and relatives.

She passed away on Jan. 13, at the age of 65. She was laid to rest on Jan. 17.

CLARA DOERKSEN

Clara Friesen was born in McPherson County, Kan. on Aug. 1, 1896. In 1917 she became a member of the First Mennonite Church. She was married to John S. Doerksen on Jan. 3, 1922, after which she moved to Denair, Calif. where she became a member of the Denair Missionary Church.

She leaves her husband, John S. Doerksen, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Leona Nelson, Mrs. Dorothy Nelson, Mrs Doris Olson and Wilbur Doerksen, all of Denair, Calif., and Robert Doerksen of Santa Cruz, Calif.
