text of obituary:

MRS. ANNA DOERKSEN

Anna Doerksen was born to Jacob and Anna Barkman Reimer at Jansen, Neb. on July 12, 1887, and passed from this life on May 8, 1971, having attained the age of 83 years, nine months and 26 days.

She recognized her lost condition, accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and was baptized upon her confession of her faith and received into the "Kleine Gemeinde Church" at Jansen.

She moved with her parents to Meade, Kan. in 1908. Here on March 12, 1916, she was married to Cornelius H. Doerksen. They made their living by farming. In 1936 they moved to Almosa [sic Alamosa], Colo. and in 1945 to Reedley, Calif.

On Feb. 15, 1952, our father was called to his heavenly reward. The remainder of her life was lived with Corney and Anna in her home.

She had a special love for music, and we were a singing family. Her favorite number was, "Take Time to be Holy" which she sang in German. She had a keen interest in God's Word and loved her Sunday school class very much. She did much sewing for relief, reaching out to others in their need. She also did much sewing and crocheting for her family.

She submitted to an operation in 1965 and to another in March of this year. Since then her health has steadily declined. She spent the last weeks of her life at the Sierra View Home. Her heart's desire has been realized and she is with her Saviour in heaven.

She leaves to mourn her passing six children: Anna Doerksen and Ben and Hulda Doerksen of Reedley, Calif., Jake and Margaret Doerksen of Nampa, Idaho, Corney Doerksen of Reedley, John and Iodema [sic Lodema] Doerksen of Reedley, Helen [sic Helena] and husband Dan Nick, Nampa; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Doerksen of Meade, Kan. and Mrs. Agnes Penner of Cuauhtemoc Mexico.

She was predeceased by three brothers, five sisters and one daughter-in-law.

Our sorrow is not without hope. We will meet our parents around God's throne in heaven. — The Family.
