FUNERAL SERVICES FOR TWO GIRLS HELD AT ABBOTSFORD CHURCH
Abbotsford, British Columbia. — Double funeral services for two-year-old Evelyn Rita Dirksen and her aunt, Doris Dirksen, victims of a traffic accident on the Trans-Canada highway, were conducted at the Greendale Mennonite church near here May 14.
The two were passengers in a car driven by little Evelyn's father and Doris' brother, John Dirksen, when it was forced into a cement abutment as the family car was crossing a bridge over the Sumas river.
Mr. Dirksen his wife Hildegarde, and another passenger, Helen Rempel, were all hospitalized with serious injuries but are recovering. The group was returning to Vancouver after spending the week end at Sardis.
