• Funeral services for Jacob R. Diller, 91, were held Thursday morning, Sept. 13, at the Hesston Mennonite Church with Rev. Richard Yordy officiating. Mr. Diller died Sept. 11 at Schowalter VilIa where he had been a resident since 1962. A native of Markham, Ont., he came to Kansas in 1913 and was baptized in the Hesston Mennonite Church in 1914. He and his wife, the former Grace Cooprider, lived on a farm near Hesston for many years and he engaged in farming and carpentry. He built many homes in the Hesston community. Mrs. Diller died in 1972. Surviving are five sons, John, Allen, Robert, Ivan and Eugene, and one daughter, Mrs. Lois Hershberger, all of Hesston; 18 grandchildren and six great-granddaughters.
