Bro. Diener was born May 24, 1892, at Canton, Kansas, the son of D. A. and Lydia Landis Diener. He was ordained to the ministry May 12, 1918, and served a pastorate in Kansas before coming to Wellman in 1926.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Buckwalter; nine children; three brothers, Arthur D. of Canton, Kans., Harry A. of Hutchinson, Kans., Charles L. of Canton; and one sister, Ruth Diener of Colorado, Kans.

MINISTER OF WELLMAN, IOWA CONGREGATION CALLED AWAY IN DEATH

Wellman, Iowa. — Funeral services for Rev. Edward Diener, 61 a minister of the Wellman Mennonite church, were held at the church on Oct. 28. He died at the home near here Sunday, Oct. 25 after a long illness.

Bro. Diener was born May 24, 1892, at Canton, Kansas, the son of D. A. and Lydia Landis Diener. He was ordained to the ministry May 12, 1918, and served a pastorate in Kansas before coming to Wellman in 1926.
