Death Comes Suddenly To A. J. Dickman at Farm Home at Mountain Lake.
Mountain Lake, Minn., July 21. — Death came suddenly to A. J. Dickman Friday afternoon, just three days after his fortieth birthday. He was on his farm, helping with the haying, when he was stricken with a fatal heart attack about 2:00. He was rushed to the Bethel Hospital but failed to rally, death coming about 5:00.
By a fortunate occurrence all members of his immediate family were here on the day of his death. His two sisters, Gladys and Mildred, drove in from California that noon.
The Bethel church was filled to overflowing by the many friends who came to do last honors at the funeral services Friday afternoon. The Reverend Albert Penner of Northampton, Mass., preached the funeral sermon. Albert and Art were schoolmates here many years ago. The Reverend Bartel offered opening prayer and pronounced the benediction. Music was sung by a male quartet: J. J. Vogt, Wm. H. Regier, Ted Janzen and P. J. Voth. — Observer.
