Katherine (Goossen [''sic'' Goosen]) Dick was born May 13, 1879, near Ulam, Minn., daughter of Cornelius and Margret Goossen [''sic'' Gossen].

Mother became ill and entered the hospital in Devils Lake, N. D. on April 25, 1965. After being in and out of hospitals, she was taken tot he Pembillier Nursing home in Wallahala [''sic'' Walhalla]. Here she remained until the time of her passing on Sunday, Jan. 16, having reached the age of 86 years, eight months and three days.

Katherine spent her childhood and youth in Minnesota. On June 16, 1901 she was baptized by Rev. Henry Quiring. On July 7, 1901 she was united in marriage to Peter Dick. The Dicks then made their home on the farm at Munich, N. D.

To this union was born 10 children. The Dicks were pioneers in this area and were among those becoming charter members of the Salem Mennonite Church of Munich. The summer of 1966 will also mark the 60th anniversary of the Salem Church. In this church fellowship she remained active until the time of her last illness and death. After the death of her husband on Oct. 2, 1928, Mrs. Dick remained active on the farm with the family until the children were able to assume the work.

Katherine Dick was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; two children who died in infancy; one brother, Henry; three sisters, Elizabeth, Margaret and Gertrude, who was also her twin; and four grandchildren.

She leaves to mourn her departure six sons, John of Dallas, Ore., Joe of Hastings, Minn., Herman of Tulsa, Okla., Albert, Henry and Sam all of Munich, N. D.; two daughters, Tina, Mrs. John T. Fast of Warroad, Minn. and Mary of Munich, N. D.; two sisters, Mrs. Isaac Peters and Mrs. Isaac Janzen, and one brother, Cornelius Goosen [''sic'' Gossen], all of Dallas, Ore.; 39 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Jan. 20 in the Salem Mennonite Church with Pastors Schmidt and Ortman officiating.

MRS. KATHERINE DICK

Katherine (Goossen [sic Goosen]) Dick was born May 13, 1879, near Ulam, Minn., daughter of Cornelius and Margret Goossen [sic Gossen].
