Marlin Kim, pastor of the church, officiated. Among the survivors are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Waldo Kaufman, Freeman, S. D., and two sons, Harold and Ray, both of Buhler.

David P. Dick, son of Jacob B. and Elizabeth (Penner) Dick, was born near Buhler, Kan. on Aug. 28, 1889, and died in George's Nursing Home, McPherson, Kan., after a prolonged illness on Aug. 7, 1967.

On Dec. 20, 1914, he was married to Elizabeth Gerbrand, who survives.

Also surviving are three children: Ethel, Mrs. Waldo Kaufman of Freeman, S. D., Harold and Ray of Buhler, Kan.; three brothers, Dietrich, Buhler, Herbert, San Fernando, Calif., Arthur, San Marcus [''sic'' San Marcos], Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Nitengale, Burrton, Kan., Mrs. P. M. (Elizabeth) Lohrentz, Buhler, Miss Bertha Dick, San Marcus, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. A brother, Henry, preceded him in death.

A farmer and carpenter, David Dick lived most of his lifetime in central Kansas. After his marriage, he with his wife and family for many years lived near Burrton, Kan. In 1932 illness forced the family to moved to Tucson, Ariz. and the following year to Phoenix, Ariz. Returning to Kansas in 1934, the family lived in Newton until the spring of 1935, when they moved to a farm five miles southeast of Buhler, where they built a house on South Regier Street. When Mrs. Dick became seriously ill in March 1967, Mr. Dick moved to the Sunshine Home in Buhler and subsequently to George's Nursing Home, McPherson.
