TENA KATHERINE DICK

Tena Katherine Dick, 81, died March 7, 1947 [sic 1974] at the Clinton Regional Hospital at Clinton, Okla. She was born on Jan. 2, 1893 in Kansas, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Pauls) Dick. She came to Corn, Okla. in 1900.

In 1905 she was baptized by Rev. Michael Klassen and accepted as a member of the Bergthal Mennonite Church northwest of Corn. She transferred her membership to the Clinton First Mennonite Church on Feb. 15, 1962.

She enjoyed helping people and for several years helped Rev. and Mrs. Ediger in Indian mission work done by the General Conference Mennonite church. At another time she was given an award by the Oklahoma General Hospital for 12 years of efficient, loyal, continuous service.

In the hospital several times, she had tumor surgery and a hip operation, replacing both hip joints with steel balls. She came to the Home for the Aged at Corn in January 1971 and enjoyed the blessings of its daily devotions. On March 4, 1974 she was taken to the Clinton Regional Hospital again.

Survivors include two sisters, Eva Flaming of Clinton, Ga. and Elizabeth Friesen of Senior Citizen Village of Fresno, Calif.; nephews, nieces and friends. — The Family.
