Recover Bodies of Six Men Who Died in Colorado Plane Crash
Searchers last weekend found the wreckage of the two-motor Cessna 310 plane which crashed March 22 in the Le Veta Pass area of Colorado, carrying six Denver area men to their deaths.
Pilot of the plane was Karl H. Penner, 37, son of Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Penner of Whitewater, Kan. and father of three children. It was learned at Hesston that Larry Detwiler, a nephew of Ira Zook of Hesston, was one of the passengers. Karl H. Penner was a brother of Paul Penner, Hesston postmaster.
Funeral services for Mr. Penner were held Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church in Arvada, Colo. He was a pilot for Frontier Airlines. The six men were flying to Durango, Colo. to give a music program.
