text of obituary:

Anna Magdalena Kuehny was born April 29, 1868, in Summerfield, Illinois. She left us February 8, 1947. While small she came with her folks to Halstead, Kansas. When fifteen she was baptized by Rev. Christian Krehbiel and became a member of the Halstead Church. March 6, 1887, she was united in marriage to Daniel Dester. To this union seven children were born: Alma of St. Louis; Irvin, who died in infancy; Emil of Deer Creek; Herbert, missionary to India; Daniel who died at the age of thirteen months; Mrs. Milton Lichti of Deer Creek, Oklahoma, and Mrs. E. R. Langenwalter of Peoria, Illinois. In 1898 the family moved to Deer Creek, Oklahoma. Two years later father and several of the children became sick of typhoid fever, of which father died. Then followed years of hardships, but with the help of kind friends and neighbors mother kept the family together. In 1918 a home was purchased in Deer Creek, and God graciously permitted mother to spend her last years in comparative comfort. This was her home until her health began to fail. Thereafter she made her home in St. Louis and part time in Deer Creek. She will live on in the hearts of her children as one who gave herself unstintingly.
