● Relatives here received word that 90-year-old John P. Derksen, a resident of the Eventide Home at Mt. Lake, Minn., died Tuesday morning. He was one of the pioneer immigrants at Mt. Lake, coming to that community as a young boy. His grandchildren living in Kansas — Mr. and Mrs. Lester Derksen and family of Newton, Mildred Derksen, a student at Bethel College, Vernelle Derksen, who is employed at Hesston, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allmond of McPherson — plan to attend the funeral, to be held Friday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church of Mt. Lake.

John P. Derksen, First Church, Mountain Lake, Minn., was born in Alexanderkron, South Russia, April 12, 1872, and died Sept. 29, at the age of 92. He is survived by four sons and four daughters.
