• Erbun Deckert, 73, brother of Harvey Deckert of Newton and a lifelong resident of the Pawnee Rock community, died Nov. 25 at the Edwards County Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Vernon Funeral Home, Larned. Rev. Gerhard Peters, pastor of the Bergthal Mennonite Church, Pawnee Rock, officiated. Also surviving are six other brothers, Otho and Albun, both of Larned, Ivan in Nigeria, Africa, Arlen of LaHabra, Calif., Bennie and Adam, both of Pawnee Rock; and one sister, Mrs. John Klassen of Inman.
