HUTTERITE BOY DROWNS

Freeman, S. D. — Eleven-year-old Joe Decker of the Wolf Creek Hutterite Colony northwest of Olivet, S. D. drowned in the James River recently while on an ice skating expedition.

It was reported that the Decker boy drowned when he attempted to save the life of a 10-year-old Hofer boy who broke through the ice. The Hofer boy was rescued and suffered no ill effects.

The Wolf Creek Colony is an outgrowth of the Tschetter Colony.
