Funeral services for Dan Dalke, 50 years old, were held April 24 at 2:30 p. m. at the First Mennonite church of Geary, Okla., conducted by Rev. Henry Hege, Corn. burial was made at Geary cemetery.
Mr. Dalke was born August 22, 1891, near Hillsboro, kan. he died April 20, 1942, at Clinton Okla., Hospital, at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 2 days. He was baptized by Rev. H. Riesen and joined the Mennonite Church at Gotebo, April16, 1911.
Mr. Dalke resided in Montana for about 10 years. He returned to Oklahoma in 1924 and was married to Ida Warkentine, August 10, 1924. They taught in schools near Gotebo for 10 years. He engaged in farming for the last few years. To their union were born three sons, the oldest of whom passed away in infancy.
Left to mourn his loss are: the widow; two sons, Dan, Jr., and Philip; his father, John Dalke; three brothers, and six sisters; and many other relatives and friends.
