— Friends and relatives were deeply grieved last Sunday to hear of the unexpected death of Herman Claassen, who for a number of years lived with his family on a farm east of Bethel College. Mr. Claassen was suffering from pneumonia and was brought to the Bethel Hospital after having been ill at his home for some time. Death came at about four o’clock Sunday afternoon. Funeral services are being held at the First Mennonite church this afternoon. The deceased is survived by his deeply sorrowing widow and one son and one daughter, as well as a large number of more distant relatives.
