Indiana Youth Killed, Two Injured in Crash
Goshen, Ind. — A one-car crash north of Elkhart in southern Michigan early on New Year's day took the life of 19-year-old Ivan Chupp of rural Goshen and injured his two companions.
Ora Yoder, 19, of rural Lagrange was taken to a South Bend hospital in critical condition, and Larry D. Yoder, 18, of rural Etna Green was reported in serious condition at Elkhart General Hospital.
The 1964 auto owned by Larry Yoder was demolished when it left the highway and crashed into a tree.
Funeral services for the Chupp youth were held Sunday morning at the Elmer Miller home. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel S. Chupp, six brothers and three sisters.
