. . .

The morning of Sept. 17 little Tuyet, the Vietnamese girl whose third birthday was due this Christmas, was happily looking forward to ride with her uncle on his bicycle to her grandmother's home. They had gone less than a block from home when a big dump truck crowded them off the road and she fell off and was instantly crushed to death beneath its wheels. Tuyet was the bright, sweet, little playmate of our three grandchildren in the home of Luke Martins in Saigon. Her mother, Co Chin, was helper in the Martin home for several years and she with her parents are members of the Mennonite Church in Saigon. It was a great shock to all, especially the children, and they will miss her very much. — John E. Kauffman.
