Reuben Reist Carper, 80, died Dec. 14. He was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but lived in this community for 38 years. Surviving are his wife, Eva Carper; three children — Ruth Eitzen, Bartow, Pa., Hilda Carper, Evanston, Ill., and Jean Miller, Evanston, Ill.; a son, James Carper, Dallas, Tex.; one sister; and nine grandchildren. — Alta Yoder Bauman.
